In 2016, I had the chance to explore the backstage of a Chinese opera show in Singapore with the help of a friend. The opera troupe was kind enough to let us roam around the backstage and get a glimpse of what was happening as they got ready for their scenes. It was a heady mix of chaos, artistry, and unfamiliarity that I chose to thoroughly immerse myself into instead of frantically taking photos here and there. It was a truly unique and unforgettable experience that I'd love to be able to do again so I can take more pictures!
